Privacy

Local-first by design.

Window Switcher Pro needs macOS permissions to switch windows and show previews. It does not need an account system to do that work.

Accessibility

Required so the app can focus the selected app or window after you use the switcher shortcut.

Screen Recording

Optional. Used for local window thumbnails. Switching continues to work when this permission is off.

Background Activity

Optional. Used when you choose to open the menu bar utility automatically at login.

Current data-use summary

  • No account system is required for the current product.
  • Switcher settings are stored locally using app preferences and app-container files.
  • Diagnostics are written to a local app-container log for troubleshooting.
  • Window information is processed locally for switching and preview display.
  • No analytics, advertising, or tracking SDK claims should be made unless they are verified against the final shipping binary.

App Store note

This page reflects the current shipping posture: local-only settings, optional Screen Recording for thumbnails, optional login-item startup, and no account or tracking system. Keep it aligned with the binary, privacy manifest, and App Store Connect privacy labels during submission.
